Saturday Hike

Today we had an adventure!  Our friend Andrew invited us to go on a hike up near Mt. Charleston.  So we drove up there and it was BUSY.  Half of the trails were closed due to fires last year but some good ones were still open.  We chose Trail Canyon Trail (that is exactly what it said on the trailhead sign) which was like 2-ish miles up to the ridgeline. It was quite steep at times!  But the boys let me set the pace and we took plenty of short breaks on the way to the top.  The view was super pretty and worth the hike.  On the ridgeline we enjoyed our pb&j's and chatted.  On all of his hikes, Andrew brings Smokey Bear and takes a pic so we made sure to do that too. On the way down the mountain we talked about Disneyland and DisneyWorld....my favorite topics of course.  We had a lot of fun and are excited to do it again soon!
